Amidst rising fuel prices and an overall increase in ownership costs, patrons are gradually shifting towards EVs or CNG cars. For years, Maruti Suzuki dominated the CNG segment of cars. Later, Hyundai joined the CNG segment as well, followed by more recently, Tata Motors. However, electric vehicles are seen as the next big alternate fuel source in the automotive industry, but the question remains: how feasible are they against CNGs? First and foremost, the fitment and running costs of CNG are much cheaper than EVs. They also produce relatively lower emissions, unlike ICE vehicles.
